World of Monkey Island - Closed for Business

Yes, this is indeed sad news for me. The World of Monkey Island website has decided to cease its updates and has shut down. This is a website I’ve gone to for years upon years for the music downloads, Monkey Island news and all that wacky MI fan art. And now it’s closing down. I can’t say that I blame them really. Why? Because seriously, there is no news for a new Monkey Island game and there is only so much speculation and rumors a person can take.

Dalixam, the dude who had take care of the site for the last 10 years even made offers to some friends to keep the site goin’, but he had no takers. I mean, it’s hard enough to keep up an adventure gaming website with the lack of news in the adventure gaming genre, but to keep up a site that rarely gets any news? Oh my… So very sad.

Now, if you want your Monkey Island fix, Dalixam says to take a good look at the Monkey Island Wiki. There is a bunch of information there if you should ever need more Monkey Island information. Because seriously… who doesn’t need more Monkey Island stuff?

So, with that… I bid you adieu, World of Monkey Island. You will be sorely missed.
