Ultima Online Free Shards
If you’re looking for an awesome and CHEAP online rpg game to play, all you gotta do is go buy yourself a copy of Ultima Online (which I hear there is a free edition on out there somewhere… you might want to Google it), and then download UO Gateway.
I talked about Ultima Online the other day and the great thing about it is that a company called RunUO has modded and created their very own Ultima Online servers. Which you can play on for free.
FOR FREE.
Now, what UO Gateway does for an adventuress like myself is to allow you to check out all the great free servers (or shards, as they call them in the UO world) that people who have download RunUO and installed on their own home servers have. There are hundreds of different servers out there, all with lots of different people to play with. There are PvP (Player vs. Player) servers, RP (role playing) servers, PvM (player vs monsters) servers and EVERYTHING in between.
A lot of these servers are also almost identical to the old UO paid servers of yore. Oh, and not to mention servers with their own custom maps and monsters to play on.
So, if you’re looking for a game that constantly changes and that you can make a lot of cool people from, check out RunUO and Gateway UO for all the coolness.
