Sam and Max Cartoon Show Gets Some Box Art
Okay… When I was a kid, Sam and Max were a cartoon on the ol’ boob tube that was apparently really super funny and every one loved it. Okay, I wasn’t really a kid. I was like 17, but I had already played Sam and Max, so had I know that there was a cartoon on TV, I probably would’ve watched the hell out of it. The only people who apparently did not like the cartoon were tv station producers that were airing Sam and Max - they had a pretty short run as far as cartoons go and only lasted a season on air. Which is a sin really. Because I’m sure had they gotten more seasons, that show would’ve been like what Sponge Bob Square Pants is today and all the kids would’ve loved it. Hell, even Sponge Bob got a movie, so I’m sure the eternally cool Sam and Max could’ve gotten one.
Damn those station producers.
So, it was awesome when I heard that Shout! Factory, a company that tries to put your geekish tv shows onto DVDs, got the go ahead to put Sam and Max cartoon season 1 on DVD. And they finally got some cover art. Check it out:
With this DVD release of the Sam and Max cartoon series, all of my dreams have finally come true. Except the one where I sleep on a giant cloud. That one might not be quite so obtainable.
