R.I.P.
It is a sad day around the world today. At least I’m sad. Even my Russian co-worker is sad. She’s at the desk next to mine, yelling into the phone in Russian. I can imagine her telling her Russian compatriots that I am sad. That has got to be what she is saying. That’s sad.
We’re all sad.
I arrived at work, at my usual time of 7:17 A.M. which is either 17 minutes late or 13 minutes early. You be the judge. I slide up to my new desk that I acquired last week. It’s a nice desk that fits me well. I turn on my monitor, hit alt + ctrl+ delete on my keyboard, type in my user name and password (NO I WON’T TELL YOU WHAT IT IS DON’T ASK) and go about my normal morning business. You know, check my favorite gaming sites, visit some blogs, get a cup of tea, eat my breakfast. So on and so forth. I decide it’s time to check my e-mail.
I see one towards the top from one of my favorite people, Ingrid of Play Girlz and numerous other blogs that I don’t have the time to look up and list here, because it would take up 15 paragraphs. Anyways. I read the title of the e-mail:
Subject: RIP Carabur
Oh, no, I think. It can’t be. I quickly double click the e-mail to open it up and to see what’s happened to Carabur.
This is what Ingrid wrote me:
HAHAHA… Lish and I were running down Duskwood and ran into your body. LOL
OH GODS. MY POOR MAGELY GNOME, CARABUR, HAS DIED. I AM SAD.
You see. I started playing WoW again, because Ingrid bothered me for months to play. When Ingrid doesn’t get what she wants, she whines and whines and whines. That’s what happens when you’re an only child. Oh, and you were dropped on your head.
Apparently I forgot to log off last night (it happens often) and I was in the middle of the road on Duskwood. A spider tried to decapitate me, minus the taking of my head. It left it on, but just barely.
Ingrid, being the helpful lass that she is, avenged my death, with her cute little gnome rogue. To mock me, she also took this screenshot:
Just in case you missed the massacre that was my gnome’s death, here is a close up. Don’t look if you are weak of stomach:
THE HORROR. The pure, unadulterated horror. This is worse than an R Rated movie, quite frankly. I can’t believe I can actually show this on a blog. Please… don’t cry. Don’t cry.
See how she doesn’t even have a little bit of sparkle left to her magely fingers? And the half way opened eyes? It’s sad. So very sad. She must have died horribly.
So, in honor of Carabur… this one’s for you! Please keep her in your thoughts.

LOL …
You should retrieve your body soon, though. She was starting to smell. Though it might’ve been the rotting skeletons around us. It is Duskwood after all.
*mourns Carabur* *tear* ;)

I have done that…or close to it. I will be playing and have to get up to go check on the kids or dinner or a phone call only to come back to my dead body or to hear my husband or son calling from the office “Just ‘tripped’ over your dead body! Come get it out of here, woman!’”
Ahhhh, WoW mates. I am in heaven!

Jenn… It never fails. When you think you’re safe, a horrible beast will rip your face off without a moments notice. It’s sad, really. So Sad.
