Penumbra: Black Plague shippin’ on out!
I don’t understand why game developers make games that are scary. I mean, don’t we have enough fear in our every day lives to make you NOT want to play a scary game? Well, apparently, that type of logic doesn’t work for most people. I’m guessing it’s because they’re are insane or something. It’s the same type of people who watch horror movies for no other reason to get a cheap thrill. Why? Isn’t jumping off a cliff more of a thrill that doesn’t shock the crap out of you like when a big ass monster comes out of no where and there isn’t even a bit of scary music to warn you of your impending pant wetting?
Well, even if scary games aren’t for me, I’m guessing that someone out there would LOVE to walk in eerily dark and scary tunnels under an insane asylum for no other purpose than to get your kicks off. If you’re one of those people, then here’s some good news. Penumbra: Black Plague, a game which features walking around in dark hallways under an insane asylum, has shipped to your local gaming store Tuesday… well, it’s shipped to your local gaming store IF you live in the U.S. Apparently, the game is going to ship to our European counterparts sometime very soon. What’s even better? Well, the price tag, of course… Bestbuy has the game listed at $19.99. I mean, it’s not as cheap as a movie, but we can only hope it’ll last longer and you might actually get to score at the end.
And if you want to play a demo before purchasing the game, you can! Check it out here. But don’t play it at work, because if you do and you wet yourself… it’s not my fault.
I fear for the world.
