Pathologic: A Preview!

My faithful reader, Karine, has brought to my attention that Adventure Europe (a site I haven’t even heard of before. That’s awesome!) has done a preview of the new disease ridden thriller, Pathologic. What’s cool is that Karine says fairies brought her the news. Well, she did say “Feed Fairies” in her e-mail, but in my imagination, a bunch of fairies actually brought the news to Karine through the medium of dance and song.

I love me some fairies. Soooo cute. But next time I hope it’s feed ninjas… or maybe feed pirates. Yeah, feeding pirates is cool.

Anyways, I read through Adventure Europe’s preview of Pathologic and it sounds really cool. Here’s a short snippet of what you can expect if you manage to get your grubby little hands on it:

In the very beginning of the game you are faced with a choice. You have to choose a character out of the three available in the game: The Bachelor, Haruspicus and the Devotress. The decision you make is quite important because each one of those characters have a different purpose and the story will be different depending on your choice. I played the beta version with the Bachelor of Medicine, Daniel Dankovskiy. Daniel has spent all his life trying to defeat the most difficult enemy of all…death itself. His theories about the possibility to beat death, have been seriously doubted by the authorities who want to terminate his studies and shut down his laboratory.

Wow, I likes da sounds of it. I really hope that we get it over here in the States, because I’m jealous of all the Europeans getting all the cool assed games. The jealousy eats my soul!
