Ohhh… that’s gotta hurt…

Ouchies for Daemonica! According to AdventureDot, Gamespot gave Daemonica a measly 4.8 out of 10. OWW. That’s gotta sting. Kinda like when your little brother slaps you on the back when you’re out swimming and then WAM. SMACK. OUCH! STING! And then you take him into the deep end of the pool and dunk him under for a good minute or so and then he comes back up and cries to mom.
Has that ever happened to you? IT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME TO ME. Stupid little brothers.
Erm… yeah.
Here’s what Gamespot calls Daemonica:
Despite its attempts to add a unique spin to the genre, Daemonica is generally a tedious and unappealing adventure game.
Gamespot says that there are only a few puzzles, which only annoy you at best. The characters are also unlikable and you don’t bond to them very well. Who cares if they die, right?!
There are also way too many conversations with NPCs and the playing time is at most 10 hours, but according to GameSpot “… the game’s generally unpleasant presentation will make it feel like much longer.”
Ummm. Yeah. I don’t think I’ll be spending my hard earned dough on the shizzle, mang. I mean, it sounded cool in premise, but come on. 10 hours!? That’s it?! That’s the reason I didn’t want to pay $20 to buy the first Bone game.
Disappointments of disappointments.
And everyone is wondering why adventure games are a dying genre.
Apparently the Russians like tedious game play. They always WERE crazy.

[…] After the scathing review I read about Daemonica the other day… I figured I shouldn’t put this news update about a new patch that developers had put out, because it sounds like it won’t do too well in the land of adventure gamers. […]
