Ohhh a new ScummVM

Yep, the fine folks over at ScummVM have done their magical little thing and have release a new version of ScummVM, the magical gaming engine that allows you to play the old LucasArt Scumm games, such as Monkey Island I and II, Sam and Max… you know stuff like that.
Well, they’ve taken ScummVM up a knotch. It will now play The Legend of Kyrandia and The Feeble Files. It also does a couple of other things, which I shall just copy and paste from their webpage, because I… well, I’m lazy.
And what’s the point of retyping everything when lovely computer features of copy and paste work so much faster?
- Reworked detection code for SCUMM games. Now all your fan translations will work out of the box
- Added subtitle configuration controls to the options dialog
- New official Atari/MiNT port
- Much improved WinCE port
- Numerous bugfixes in the SCUMM, SAGA, Simon, Broken Sword 2 and BASS engines
I’m very excited about it now being able to play The Legend of Kyrandia. I have it sitting in my garage and every time I go out there, I look at it and think I should play it again. And now I can, because ScummVM is da bomb!
Mmmmm…. I <3 ScummVM.
