Oh, my nerd heart explodes with happiness!
While over wandering through my list of RSS feeds, I found a news item that sparked my interest. And by “sparked”, I mean it made my jaw drop and my heart soar! Yes, my friends… this post over at Adventure Gamers explains it all. Go ahead and look. It won’t hurt you.
Okay, if you don’t want to look, I’ll just sum it up for ya. Adventure Game Studio, the gaming engine that any schmo like you and I for creating adventure games, has finally gone the .NET route. Okay, that may not mean a lot to you, but it does to me. Why? Because I’m a programmer who happens to program in .NET! This means I don’t have much to learn if I actually want to create my very own adventure game! Which is something I’ve always wanted to do, but trying to get down the syntax and other little idiosyncrasies of a new programming language down has been always been a little bit daunting.
So, if you, too, are a programmer who would love to look into programming game, why don’t you give Adventure Game Studio a try. This engine has built some of the best indy adventure games out there.
