Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy - I bet you didn’t see that one coming…
Ahhh, Nostradamus - the man who could predict the future and wrote wildly open ended predictions, so that fools would be able to say, “Yep… that Nostradamus was right! He CAN predict the future.” Well, I’m sure some of his predictions were right and it does make for mildly enjoyable reading, so I can’t say anything bad about the man. I mean, he did predict Hitler and WWII. If only we had listened to those predictions……
But enough of my rambling. I bring up Nostradamus, because according to this news article over at GameBoomers, there is a brand new game based on Nostradamus. The name of the game? Well, it’s called Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy and it actually sounds pretty cool.
The North American publisher of the game, Microids, says that the game is a lot like The Secrets of Da Vinci - The Forbidden Manuscript, so if you liked that game, you’ll like the historical overtone that this game will bring to life.
Here’s a small snippet of storyline:
Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy transports players to 16th century Provence, in a country ravaged by religious wars and devastated by the plague. Despite the end of her rule as regent three years ago, Catherine de Médicis still holds the reins of power, making her the target of repeated attacks by the French nobility. In March 1566, upon falling victim to a terrible curse, she turns to her doctor and astrologer, Michel de Nostre-Dame, better known as Nostradamus.
Sounds like fun! I’ve always wanted to play a game where I was surrounded by people with the black plague! That type of threat will definitely keep a girl on her toes…
The game is said to be out sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2007, so if you’re interested in the game, look out for it. It’ll be on game shelves any time now.

Considering the Da Vinci game was quite my thing, this one sounds interesting. Then again, Nostradamus wasn’t worthy to touch Da Vinci’s small unshaved toe…

That is true… I bet he didn’t predict that the gnome would find him less than Da Vinci’s small unshaved toe, now did he?! What kinda of predictor is he?!
