New Wintermute Engine Update
Oh, so you don’t know what the Wintermute Engine is? Well, I’ll tell you. It’s a programming engine that you can use to create your own adventure games. Why? Because creating adventure games is fun! And when you create your own adventure games, people like me might talk about you! Maybe the “about” section of the Wintermute website will give you a better idea of what it’s all about. Check it:
Wintermute Engine Development Kit is a set of tools for creating and running graphical “point&click” adventure games, both traditional 2D ones and modern 2.5D games (3D characters on 2D backgrounds). The kit includes the runtime interpreter (Wintermute Engine, or WME) and GUI editors for managing and creating the game content (WME tools) as well as the documentation, demonstrational data and prefabricated templates.
There are lots of reasons why you might want to check out Wintermute if you’re into developing your own games. Let’s take a look at some features, shall we?
- Resolution and colors
- Rendering subsystem
- Development tools
- Scripting language
- Parallax scrolling
- Support for 3D characters
- User interface layer
- Localization support
- Accessibility support
- Community
- Continual development
Give it a try!

Why thank you my fair Adventuress… Unfortunately being AO only would never allow it to shine on the Wii, thus crushing all my dreams of financial stability…

Awww, you can still make a kick butt game and maybe some awesome publisher will pay to transfer it into a Wii game? WHAT?! IT COULD HAPPEN!
