Nanobots - It’s coming together!

A while back, I posted about a new indy adventure game from the awesome Erin “The Ivy” Robinson, who was responsible for one of my most favorite indy adventure games, Spooks. For quite some time now, Erin has been working hard on trying to get her new project Nanobots created so that all of us little people can enjoy the greatness which is her humor and wit, in the form of a game.

Well, now, she’s even posted some plot to the story over at theAdventure Game Studio forums. And boy howdy, does the game sound pretty cool.

Groovy Greg, a fresh-faced robotics student, set out to make robots that could love. He designed six nanobots, each with one special skill that made it different from the others. His hard work and idealism paid off. Soon Hotbot, Tallbot, Brainbot, Audbot, Strongbot, and Chembot were ready to take on the world. Although they were completely useless on their own, if they worked together they could accomplish anything.

There was just one problem. The Nanobots hated each other.

Everything changes when a jealous professor attempts to sabotage Groovy Greg’s work.

Can the Nanobots avoid coming face-to-fist with Professor Killfun? Only if they give peace a chance.

With music coming from The Scorposer and all the scripting being done by Vince Twelve over at xii Games, this game is definitely going to be a hit in the indy adventure game development world. Freakin’ sweet.

The game is about to go out into beta mode (which I was lucky enough to be picked to test!! YES!) and will hopefully be out sometime in mid-February.
