More Insecticide News… Yay?
With the end of last week’s E3 Expo, a lot of games have had a new light shed upon them. One of those games, Insecticide, by Crackpot Entertainment, is a game that I thought wasn’t going to have a chance in heck to make it out in the big scary world of game publishing. I may be wrong, however, as two big gaming review companies, 1UP and GameSpot have given a little commentary on the game.
So, let’s break this down by website, shall we?
- 1UP says in this here article that you can definitely tell that a bunch of ex-employees of LucasArts put this little ditty of a game together. Not only do we see it in the graphics, but we see it in the writing style, as well. They also worry about the whole porting the game to a DS first instead of to the PC. Why? Because you can’t really feel that graphics of any games on a DS, because, quite frankly, the DS graphics aren’t that great. So why not throw it onto the PC first? Probably because they know they’ll make a bunch of money off the DS game. That’s what I figure anyways.
- This article from Gamespot isn’t actually an article at all. Instead it’s a video interview of the president of Crackpot Entertainment, Mike Levine. The interviewer also does a good job in the first 30 seconds of insulting Crackpot! That’s awesome. In the interview, Mike goes into depth about what we can expect from the game, like the different 20 levels that we’ll get to adventure through and shooting other bugs with a gun they call “The Amberizer” and anything with the word “Amber” in it can’t be all that bad, can it? Take a look at the video below:
Mike certainly did make the game sound fun and lovely, didn’t he? Hmmm… Only time will tell, my friends.
So, maybe the game won’t be as bad as I thought. I mean, we certainly have adventure type elements. So, that’s always cool. I’ll probably definitely will try it, because you can’t judge a book by its cover, now can ya? If you could, all people would read would be smut magazines! AM I RIGHT OR AM I RIGHT?!
[thanks be given to those rascally varmints at the international house of mojo for the update]
