Indy Developer Gives Us Screenshots
I always like to write the posts about independent game developers, because it gives me hope that maybe one day I can be creative. It just goes to show you that you don’t need lots of money or much help to make a game that a lot of people can enjoy and that you enjoy making.
So, that’s why it gives me great pleasure (and doesn’t that sound perverted anytime says that? “Gives me great pleasure”? Or maybe I’m just a sicko… could be) to introduce a new game by Lively Ivy, AKA Erin “The Ivy” Robinson, creator of the critically acclaimed Spooks. The name of the game will be called Nanobots and let’s just say that the game is far more colorful than her last game. Spooks was almost created entirely in black and white and… well… just take a look at this screenshot of Nanobots:
Awww, there’s a hippy in the game. I love hippies!
And look! She’s even given a brief overview of what the game is about:
Groovy Greg was determined to make robots that could love. Instead, he got these little buggers.
Hotbot, Brainbot, Tallbot, Audbot, Strongbot, and Chembot. Six switchable player characters who have to work together to solve their biggest challenge yet: not getting crushed.
Seriously. Six different characters? That’s unheard of! But it does sound fun! I, myself, do not like being crushed, so I can’t imagine six nano sized robots wanting to be crushed either. It would be a travesty!
If this game is half as good as Spooks then I’m extremely excited about it. Can’t wait!
