Hotel Dusk for DS Hits the Pavement

Several months ago, I wrote a post on a new game coming out for the Nintendo DS called Hotel Dusk: Room 215. In the post, it said that the game looked really cool, despite the fact that it apparently is all in Japanese. Well, the TIME HAS COME for us ENGLISH SPEAKERS to have the game be our very own.
On Nintendo’s DS front page, you will see a lovely little advertisement for Hotel Dusk, which I assume means that EVERYONE will get to play it. I’m pretty excited. Except I don’t have a DS… still. But I do have a Wii. That’s a plus!
What’s cool about this particular DS game is that you play the game like it’s a story book… meaning, you have to turn the DS on its side to actually play the game. You also have lots of conversation choices and based on those choices, the game progresses in different ways… or doesn’t progress at all.
The game features a has been detective turned salesman, Kyle Hyde, from New York. Kyle checks into Hotel Dusk and finds a mystery that his detective spidey senses can’t ignore.
Here’s a brief description of the game from Nintendo’s Hotel Dusk site:
Once there, Kyle soon becomes embroiled in a 30-year-old mystery that involved lies, betrayal, kidnapping and murders. And over the course of the night, he will also discover something very special about Room 215… a room that is said to grant wishes.
Umm, are you serious? A room that grants wishes? WTF?
Anyways. If you want to buy the game, click this link for a direct path to Amazon’s site.
