Homestar Ruiner - That’s a wrap!
Okay, so as I said last night, I went ahead and bought Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People: Homestar Ruiner on Wiiware and I’ve got to say… I had a pretty dang good time.
First off, I’ve never bought an adventure game for the Wii, so I wasn’t sure how it would all play out. At first, the controls were kind of… well, annoying, I guess and I was longing for a PC and a mouse. But, I persevered, damnit! And I had a good time doing it, too!
I’ve been a big fan of Strong Bad Email’s for a really REALLY long time, so being able to answer my own e-mail and then going on an adventure based on it was pretty cool. Also, ruining the lives of the characters was sweet, too. I mean, who WOULDN’T want to ruin StrongBad? He IS annoying with that… what is it? A lisp? I mean, it’s a definite speech impediment.
Oh, and let’s not forget to mention that you get to build your very own Teen Girl Squad comic that only a Strong Bad could love. I didn’t play long enough to unlock all the secret cool stuff, but I’m totally going to go back and find out how to make the best Teen Girl Squad comic that an Adventuress could make.
So, if you’re patient and can handle the WiiControl with a steady hand, then I recommend you buying the game for the Wii. I mean, I got to play it on a 42″ flat screen, which is way better than my 19″ monitor. But then again, you can buy the entire season of Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People for $34.95, which is way cheaper than the 1000 Wii points (which is $10) per game that you’ll have to buy if you want to use WiiWare.
Now, when’s the next one coming out? My Wii trigger finger is ready!
