Holy heavenly horse radish in a Houston whorehouse! A look behind Sam and Max

It’s not often I get to use the word “whorehouse” in a title of one of my posts, so you know this has got to be good, right? Ohhh, it is. And with an exclamation like that, you know that this has got to be something that Sam, from Sam and Max would say. Well, TellTale Games recently went to the Penny Arcade Expo, or PAX, to show off their Sam and Max gaming engine. TellTale told the all mighty, Joystiq that they would be able to create their very own episode of Sam and Max. And they did!

They asked for volunteers to shout out their favorite fruits, vacation spots and professions for Sybil. Then they put together a quick little cut scene, which according to this Joystiq article takes longer than an hour to create. Well, we hope so! We would want to think these TellTale people are only putting an hour of work into an episode and then blowing all of the cash we give them through sales on cheap women and liquor, would we?

After Joystiq’s episode was hurriedly put together, they pull three helpless volunteers from the audience to do the voices of Sam, Max and Sybil. What they come up with is comic gold. Check it out:

I think it was great to see what other people than TellTale came up with when it came to creating a quick little ditty of a scene. And I think the end product came out well. Or maybe I just like the word “whorehouse” and that made it all the better for me.
