Double Fine signs with Vivendi??

Hail my followers. I hope you all had a lovely long holiday weekend. If this wasn’t a holiday weekend for you, then I hope you had a good short weekend.
ON WITH THE ENTRY.
According to Gamasutra’s site, Double Fine Productions has signed a deal with big time publisher, Vivendi, who as you may recall used to be Sierra Online before Sierra sold out.
What does this mean for us adventurers? Well, it means that Double Fine is coming out with a brand spanking new game and now they have the financial backings to do WONDERFUL DOUBLE FINE THINGS. Now, remember, Double Fine is the company who put the wonderful game Psychonauts together.
Ahhh, that game was awesome.
It’s kind of weird that Tim Schaferwould sign a deal with Vivendi, though. Sierra Online used to be a major competetor to LucasArts back when they both made adventure games. Seeing as LucasArts now sucks, though, I guess Schafer is just looking out for what’s best for his blooming company.
Sounds like a good deal, if you ask me. Can’t wait to see that new game, either!
