Another Full Motion Video Game?
Well, if you’re a fan of those weird Full Motion Video (FMV) games, I have good news for you. And if you don’t know what they are, I’ll tell you. It’s when a video game development team decides to use real actors i their game instead of the traditional 2D or 3D type style. Basically, it’s a movie that you can play… with real actors and everything. I always thought they were weird myself… take Gabriel Knight: Beast Within for example. That game was jerky and awkward, but it still had a great storyline… hmm.
Anyways… there was an post over at Adventure Gamers in which talks of a new FMV game called Fate By Numbers. The game is developed by four graduate students of a college out of the Netherlands and it actually looks pretty cool if the screen shots are any indication. It also looks like the game is going to be episodic, which is good. Why? Because if you like it, well… then a new one shall be on the way shortly. What’s not to like?
Here’s a little piece of the story behind the game:
Alice Sanger is a private detective in a futuristic metropolis. She started out her career in the police force, but got fired after she tried to expose corruption within the bureau. As a result her marriage went downhill, her ex-colleague and soon to be ex-husband joined one of the more powerful commercial armies of the city.
Mmmm, detective drama. Don’t you love it?

No, definitely not the shoes. Unless they are football shoes of course. Anyway, just downloaded all 1.2 Gigas of Fate by Numbers and will soon review the thing…
