Another Al Lowe Interview…

I wrote a couple weeks ago on the greatness that is Al Lowe. Yes, remember? I’ve talked about him creating such classics as Leisure Suit Larry and Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist. And then I told you all about how he’s going to actually be creating a new game, Sam Suede, that he’s dubbing an “Action Adventure”, where instead of using violence, they’re using humor.
I still say that’s an adventure game, but I have been know to be retarded.
I found this really cool interview he’s in that talks about his tenure at Sierra Online and through all the crap he’s been through.
The beginning of the article talks about his first time making a game. He was a musician before he started creating games. He started playing games, liked what he saw and decided to try to make his own. He started tinkering around with things and before he knew it, he had three games.
Now that’s the kinda guy I like to see. This guy started programming his game before they even had such cool tools as Photoshop and Adventure Game Studio. You gotta give him credit.
Of course, through out the article he interjects his humor and talks about porn.
And that’s alright in my book.
