Ankh: A Review

Ankh

Ahhhh, finally an adventure game that is really worth playing. Or at least that’s what I hear. Ankh is turning out to be on of the funniest adventure games to come out since the early days of Sierra and Lucas Arts. Now that Sierra sucks and Lucas Arts has turned to creating millions of Star Wars games, because they are the devil, we have to start relying on small companies to come out with the really big hits.

Ankh’s publisher, BHV software has finally fit the bill that the larger gaming companies have left behind. Maybe it’s because their German? Why does it seem that the Germans are always the ones making the really awesome adventure games? Sometimes, I wish I was German.

Put alas… I’m just an ignorant American. What will I do!?

Oh, I know… I’ll play Ankh.

Anyways, according to Adventure Europe, “Ankh deserves a spot among the rest of the adventure game classics”. That’s pretty impressive. Actually, Adventure Europe has a really cool review they did of Ankh. The reviewer actually says that the game has one of the funniest moments he has ever seen in his history of playing adventure games and seeing as he’s reviewed quite a few, I’d call those odds good.

So, check out Ankh… you can buy it from BHV Software for the low low price of 26.99 GBP.

Mmmm… GBP.

What does the main character of Ankh, Assil, say about the game? Let’s look:

Now, that’s insightful.
