Anhk: Coming to a DS near you

Good news is coming out of Germany, as German publisher, BHV, has decided to port the Egyptian comedy classic by Deck 13, Ankh, to the Nintendo DS. According to Adventure Gamers, the new port to the Nintendo DS is scheduled to be released in Europe sometime in August.

Adventure Gamer also says that the game will be toned down a little, as not to be overwhelming to the DS. We wouldn’t want any DS users to get shrapnel to the face, because their DS blew, now would we? The scaling down includes less character animations and the environment will also be scaled down to actually fit on the DS screens. It will be made to work with the DS stylus, because what’s the point of playing a game if your stylus won’t work? It will also utilize the awesomeness of the dual screens, to make your enjoyment of the game that much more exciting.

Hopefully if this port does well enough, the next Ankh, Ankh: Heart of Osiris will be ported as well. Heck, I’ll just be happy if Ankh: Heart of Osiris comes out for the PC. That would be sweet.
