A Rumor? DoubleFine’s New Game

Oh yes… There are rumors flying from here to there about what Doublefine Games is doing for their next game after the critically acclaimed Psychonauts. I mean, they put that game out years ago, so it’s about time for a new game, dontcha thing?? Well, we do know for a fact that Tim Schaefer, the guy in charge over at DoubleFine Games is going to speak at the Games Convetion in Leipzig, Germany. Us fans of Psychonauts have been patiently waiting for the next craziness that will come from the DoubleFine team and it looks like we might have some small rumor running around the internet about it.

According to this post over at Kotaku, The International House of Mojo put up a rumor regarding the next DoubleFine Game, which was later taken down, because DoubleFine asked them to. Kotaku, however, doesn’t care what people say and posted the rumors anyways!

The rumor is that the next game is going to be entitled Brutal Legend, which will star the actor we know as Jack Black… you know that crazy actor guy who sings on Tenacious D and does incredibly weird movies? Yeah, that’s the guy! Still don’t know who I’m talking about? Take a look at his IMDB records.

Jack Black’s character in the game is a roadie for a cool assed rock band and he allegedly dies then is sent to hell. Well, we all know Jack Black shouldn’t be in hell, but instead in rock n’ roll heaven, so he must find his way out of the bowels of hell back into heaven.

The game sounds totally awesome. We’ll find out more about the game after the Games Convention in Leipzig, where we will hopefully see some video trailers.
