A fine WoW sauce, with a twist of Monkey Island.
Over at the Grumpy Gamer, Ron Gilbert has put up a call to any WoW fan who is also a fan of the Monkey Island Series. Ron, created SCUMM, the system many LucasArts games were made from and was also the genius behind The Secret of Monkey Island.
Ron has decided to start a Monkey Island based guild that he’s inviting anyone to join. His only stipulation is that your character must have a Monkey Island themed name. Can you imagine how many different spellings of Guybrush Threepwood will be on this server?
Here’s the info Ron has given out about his guild:
I’m starting a Horde aligned Guild on the Server Quel’dorei called Threepwood and any WoW players looking for a Money Island Themed Guild are more then welcome to join me.
Ron also points out that he’s not there to baby sit you, so if you’re into hard core guilding stuff, like killing dragons and keeping stats and crap like that, you’ve come to the wrong place. I guess Ron is more into the fun of WoW and not the stats. Which is interesting… because grumpy people usually don’t like fun. At least that’s what I heard! Ron is taking in all sorts of people, newbs, olds, boring people and fun people.
